Fortune 1621 wine is named after Edouard Bompasse and the adventure of arriving in the new world in 1621. Edouard was one of 35 passengers to disembark the ship Fortune in 1621. The Fortune was the second ship to arrive in Plymouth following the Mayflower. The goal of Fortune 1621 is to create quality wines that are approachable for everyone.  Wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared with family and friends, and the Fortune 1621 wines undoubtedly convey this message. Blend: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot

Aging: Fermented in stainless steel tank. Aged 18 months 85% French Oak (15% new) - 15% American Oak (new)

Tasting Notes: Fresh nose of cherry, boysenberry, notes of oak and vanilla. Flavors of ripe jammy cherry, blackberry and chocolate/mocha. The palate is medium bodied with a sweet red fruit entry, nicely balanced acidity and firm yet supple tannins.
