Minimus is the R&D brand of Craft Wine Company based in the Willamette Valley. This small, dedicated team is focused on making intentional, minimal intervention wine from small lots of grapes or single vineyards scattered throughout the valley. They hold a special place in Whisperer hearts for this Chardonnay, which is absolutely exceptional.

"We believe that the most significant thing we can do to enhance Chardonnay in the Willamette Valley is to increase the genetic diversity of clonal selections here. Every year, we create a Chardonnay from heirloom clones to help raise awareness of the lack of diversity in genetics across the valley. Each wine reflects vintage variation, of course, but also characteristics based on site differences and clonal selection from year to year. 2016 was an early year, but finished cool, so the acid level from our later sites strikes a great balance with this richly textured and aromatic wine."
