Peter Michael Winery needs no introduction. Year after year their exquisite, artisan releases bring pleasure to people all over the world, and it all started in 1982 when Sir Peter Michael founded the winery on a square mile of rocky volcanic ridges on the western face of Mount St. Helena. From the beginning, the philosophy was modeled on French winemaking tradition and governed by three principles: the vineyard terroir would be the single most important feature, the wines would be lightly elegant rather than powerful and a hundred-year commitment would be made to the development of a great estate.
The estate vineyards rest on steep hillsides ranging in elevation from 1000 to nearly 2000 feet. With 120 acres under vine, the winery is known for single-vineyard and estate grown Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir.
Au Paradis Vineyard- 18 acres, red Bordeaux varietals. Located in the heart of the Oakville AVA’s famed “red dirt” in Napa Valley in fractured volcanic rock with clay, silt and sand.
Aging Regimen: Aged 18 months in 100% French oak barrels from select artisan coopers
Made with organic grapes.
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc
